Hi list!.. i have psad configured and installed logging and send email
reporting ok, but only one problems, i dont need dns request and is
constantly whois exec, i search in config the option to disable that
continous request but does work. any suggeston to disabled whois request
that psad doit to get hostname information?....i really dont need
hostname, regards dixan.

Hello Dixan,

Apologies for the delayed response. You can disable reverse DNS and whois
lookups on the psad command line with the '--no-rdns' and '--no-whois'
options. If you are starting psad from an init script, you will want to add
these options to the psad command in that script. I'll add equivalent
configuration variables in the next psad release as well.
